Libya Slave Trade: 1,295 Nigerians returned home in November – NEMA

 

Security agencies were on ground to receive the returnees from Libya.
-Returnees arrived Nigeria in different batches between Nov. 6 and Nov.30

1,295 Nigerians evacuated from Libya in November – NEMA

1,295 Nigerians have willingly returned from Libya in November after being trapped in the embattled country in a bid to cross to Europe.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) revealed  the information on Thursday
The Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Maihajja, disclosed the number of returnees, while receiving a new batch of 150 Nigerians who returned to Nigeria on Thursday
The Nigerians came back to the country in different batches between Nov. 6 and Nov. 30 with the support of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) andthe European Union (EU).
