One Three Nigerian tribes

Three Nigerian tribes who have managed to stay unaffected by westernization These tribes have managed to remain obscure and hold on to large parts of their culture.

Have you heard about them?

Nigeria has over 371 documented tribes scattered all over the country and not all of them are exposed to the western world as many of the others are. Beyond those that have been found, who knows if some still lie unknown. The Kambari people are an ancient rural community in in Birnin Amina in Rijau Local Government Area, Niger state — one of the few who still practice nudity. They are a forgotten tribe satisfied with their simple way of life and their lack of governmental support for a sustainable community. The Kambari people do not speak English or Hausa, but speak their native Kambari. They stay in their small communities and only interact with others when they have to go to the farm and market.

Last year, Nigerians were left shocked when videos warning of plastic rice sold as the real thing surfaced on social media.

It is now becoming clear that we may need to exercise more care regarding what we consume.
Fake food and what is known as food fraud is exploding on a global level, with companies deliberately misleading consumers and retailers using harmful additives to increase their profits.
Quartz Africa reports that, in February, Nahima and Yahaya, two 14-year-olds, died after eating biscuits at a classmate’s party, on the outskirts of Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.
Numerous other children were also hospitalised.

My ex wants sex with me or he sends our sex tape to my husband

I’ve been married for two years now. I’m married to a good man. Sometimes I lack the right words to describe how good my husband is. He provides everything and even provides for my fears. Ike senses my fears and strives to make things right for me.

Before I met him, there was Sam. Sam is short for Samuel. He insisted I called him Sam because he couldn’t connect to the Samuel. I didn’t know why that was but that was the explanation he gave me.

Sam was my kind of man. Physically, he had everything I wanted in a man; Tall, well-spoken, handsome and broad chested. He had a way of making a woman fall for him so deeply that you would do whatever he asked you to do without thinking twice. He was cunningly manipulative. It’s so subtle you wouldn’t know he’s manipulating you to serve his purpose.

We had plans of getting married. He talked about it often but did very little to back his claim. His goal every year was to marry me the next year. Just when the year was about to end, he would start changing his plans. That didn’t bother me until he did it for far too long. I got the impression he was just playing tricks on me or it was one of his usual ways of manipulating people.

We fought about it a lot of times. He kept giving me the same excuse of not having enough money to settle down. Not as though I wanted to marry him by all means. He was my man and I deserved to know the goals for our relationship. I deserved to believe the relationship was worth my investment. We kept seeing each other but nothing changed.

Fulani Herdsmen: Army sets up cattle ranch in Abuja

Fulani Herdsmen: Army sets up cattle ranch in Abuja

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, says the government’s efforts at achieving national security, including the fight against insurgency in the North-East, would be meaningless without food security.
Buratai made the disclosure during the presentation of farm implements and items by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh to the Nigerian Army in Abuja.

The General explained that the Army was investing in livestock, fisheries, poultry and other aspects of agriculture, and that so far, the Army boasts of about 1,000 herds of cattle in its ranches in different formations across the country.

Herdsmen/Farmers Clash

The incident took place on Monday, March 5, 2018, same day President Muhammadu Buhari visited Taraba state over the killing resulting from clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the area.

NA THAT WAY BE THAT BY FEMI KUTI

PLENTYTHINGS.COM.NG
Before his death in 1997, Fela Kuti had combined biting political commentary and stinging insults with a sound that urged listeners to dance. The Afrobeat patriarch perhaps overdid both, leaving too little left for anyone to innovate enough to find widespread acceptance—unless the sound is used in service of pop music.

So while artists like Tekno (on ‘Rara’) and Wizkid (on ‘Ojuelegba’) have found success by employing Afrobeat elements, no real Afrobeat artist has acquired a third of the culture capital of Fela. Smartly, the younger Kuti has worked some of these artists either on a song (like ‘Jaiye Jaiye’) or via invitations to the annual Felabration festival.

Burna Boy the modest success of two mix-tapes

PLENTYTHINGS.COM.NG
Born Damini Ogulu in 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer/song-writer. After his primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt, Burna Boy moved to the UK for his university education, where he made an entry into the music business in the mid-noughties.
Influenced by the Jamaican Ragga and Dancehall genre, he composed and performed ragga-influenced tracks in London clubs. In 2010, he returned to Port Harcourt, and moved to Lagos in 2012.

After the modest success of two mix-tapes, Burna Boy found mainstream acceptance with the single 'Like to Party'. The song made his debut album, 'Living an Impact For Eternity ( stylised as L.I.F.E)', which was released in 2013. Wholly produced by Leriq and under Aristokrat Records, the album spawned the singles 'Tonight', 'Yawa Dey' and 'Run My Race', and received a couple of nominations at the 2014 Headies. Following the release of L.I.F.E, Burna Boy became an ambassador for telecoms company GLOBACOM. He later left Aristokrat Records, ending his relationship with producer Leriq.
